Hello,

We have used Altiris HelpDesk solution for one month. I have translated all incidents categories into Russian, and we created several incidents using these translations. We have created several "Quick Incidents" with translated categories, it works fine. Several days ago I noticed, that the Category list in "New Incident" dialog is not filled by translated category list, but by standard English values. When I checked the list of Categories, they were in Russian. Everything is fine, when I see old incidents or when I try to use "Quick Incidents", but I can't create a new incident with translated category. What is wrong?

Did you delete or disable the English values?

When you translated your categories, did you delete (or set to inactive) the previously existing categories?

I like to delete all of the existing categories from the system and leverage this article: Excel Spreadsheet for Managing Large Helpdesk Category Systems to repopulate.

Yes, we did!

Yes, we did, and information in category combo box looked like it wasn't from database (I've seen English version from database before translation). It seems to me that the system shown me some default values. We tried to trace requests to Altiris_Incidents database, but there was no any sql to receive category data. At last the system restored information in category combo boxes by itself. Very strange behavior. I can't understand the reason. Now everything is ok...
