Hello,

I do not know that this is the right category fo this querry.

I had stopped the Catia installation in the middle due to some reason.
And when I tried to install it again I am getting and error 2262
"Dassault Prerequisites X86 is already installed"

I have restarted and tried to recache the local package.

Now the system is screwed up.

is there any solution for this?

I'm not sure I understand why you are posting this to the Altiris forums; this software seems to be some 3D modeling application?

In any case, see if you can uninstall the partially installed application from Add/Remove Programs. If that doesn't work, download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (MSICUU) tool from Microsoft and remove the Windows installer entries for the application. Then delete the files from the Program Files folder. Normally this will be sufficient to allow the installer to run successfully, so long as you don't cancel/exit it again .

I have used MSIZap, Windows Cleaning utility but it is not working.
Still I am getting the same error.

Previously I had stopped the installation in the middle but I did not faced this kind of problem.

Then I suggest you contact the application vendor to request support from them. They must have some custom action in their installer which is preventing the install from completing. Did you try uninstalling "Dassault Prerequisites x86" from Add/Remove and/or Windows Installer Cleanup util?
