  • 1.  CCS Agent on AIX creates 2 agents on CCS Console

    Hello everyone,

     

    We install CCS Agent (esm110) on AIX server, everything is ok.

    Then, we launch on CCS Console the Fetch registered agent job.

    2 agents are imported on the CCS Console for this server : one reachable, one unreachable.

    So, we have duplicated agent. Only one asset created of course (by the way, one agent is in the basic "Agent System" folder, the duplicated agent is created into the "Agents without assets" folder).

    In the job logs, we have message: "Error while processing agent asset xml" Details: "Warning: Unable to retrieve raw based content information for Agent xxx" (=> i guess this is related to the duplicated agent unreachable)

    And "Job Run Summary": Successfully imported 2 agents.

    Reconciliation summary:

    Number of records returned by the data collector: 2  => Not normal

    Number of records imported in the asset system: 1 => Normal

    Number of assets updated in the asset system: 2 => Not normal, because there is only 1 asset into the sytem regarding this server (created by the job, that we can see on the previous line)

     

    (queries on this AIX asset with the agent are ok)

    Did anybody already faced this problem?

    Know why? and how to fix this?

    We tested with other AIX servers, problem did not reproduce.

    The guess of the support was "it could be something to do with entries in the hosts file on the agent."

     

    We didn't have time to troubleshoot more than that, so i closed the case.
