  • 1.  CCS export of vulnerabilities detected

The central security team it proposing we switch to CCS from our current scanning product.  They have provided a sample of four very pretty reports of the initial scan findings.  Unfortunately, if we extrapolate the number of pages required for these four servers to the more than 600 servers that would need to be scanned reqularity, the output could be several hundred thousand pages.  We need an file export of the reported vulnerabilities by server host name, IP address, and machine serial number.  Preferrably the file format would either be XML, xlxs, but we will take txt.   Can anyone point me to the documentation on how to obtain this export file?

Which version of CCS are you using?

in CCS11, you can export the reports as pdf, xls, csv format. Just go to Reports-My reports. Or you can configure in the job run.

What I am looking for is an export of just the vulnerabilities in table format (rows, columns) so I can import the findings in to a CMDB processor to prioritize the remediation.  The report is pretty but the excessive level of text complicates the resolution if there are more than a few servers.  SAINT or Nessus type output.

I am at CCS 10.5. In the evaluation result select Asset-based view. Use shift key and the down arrow key to select the assets whose reports you want to export. Right-click on the selected assets and choose export to XLS or CSV. The above steps export all the passed and failed checks. You need to manually filter out the failed checks in your CSV file. Hope this helps! I have not yet tried bulk export in CCS 11.0, it may be a different game. Thanks, Chaitali
