CCS11 Windows Shares Giving Full Control to Everyone Check

Created: 19 Oct 2012 | 5 comments

Hello,

I am looking for a way to add a standard check that returns the shares on that server giving full control to everyone or a group of my choosing. It seems like there is a way to do this with the query engine but not the standard checks.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to create a check using the "Share" datasource and then use a "Contents Match" operator for the Permissions field.  It would look something like this:

E0:  Permissions (advanced) doesn't contains match /everyone/i

The not contains match used to be the !%~ operator.

Or you could use the underlying permssions field.

Hope that helps.

Are you sure these options are still available in CCS11? The only permission option I see in the "Share" category is "Total Permissions".

Thank you.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  I was referring to the Permissions (Advanced) <form> field that is available in the Queries but seems to have been left out of the Check builder.    I don't think this was the case in 10.5, but I will have to check.   It looks like at this point that this field is not available.   I will check with development to see if this field will be exposed later.  If not, I will submit a feature request.

I just confirmed that 10.5 had the field I was referring to Permissions Advanced <form>.   This has also been added as a feature request.  Not sure the timeline of getting it into the product, but hopefully it will be there in an upcoming PU.
