I have got the message when I try to import asset

"Source - 'Database using ODBC connection': Database connection or SQL query execution failed for 'Common' platform and 'Default Site' site"

and the detail is "Invalid object name 'WntMachine'".

I have one server for CCS suite and another for CCS manager.

I don't know what configuration I did wrong. Please help.

Sounds like your asset import job is configured to import from an ODBC source.

Do you have an asset system you are targeting?

There are several options for asset imports:

    - import assets from AD (you must setup LDAP connections in Settings > General)

    - import from CSV

    - import from ODBC (which it sounds like you are attempting - this must be configured with column mapping on the ccs manager configured for odbc data collection)

I added asset manually and then tried to import asset but error.

Please suggest for the method for ODBC import.

I think I miss some steps

The "CCS_User_Guide.pdf" has instructions for ODBC asset import on page 528 (v11). The guide is in your install set\documentation\manuals.

ODBC import is the most complicated way to get assets into CCS. I suggest you spend some time using LDAP and CSV imports to get a "feel" for the CCS asset system first.

    Good luck!
