    Is anybody aware if the linux altiris agent will install on Centos 6 ?

    The agent will successfully install onto Centos 6, although the console will identify it as Redhat.

    If using 7.1 you may have to identify the OS as Redhat 6 before pushing the Agent.

    Note it is not officially supported by Symantec

    As the user has abandoned this post, awarding points to Phil as his post covers the CentOS situation nicely.

    As an extra bit of info, I expect CentOS to work nicely as (I believe, strike me drunk if I'm wrong) that this is the base OS now for the Altiris Linux automation environment.
