Certificate renewal(ikeyman) - Upgrade from 1024-bit to 2048-bit

Created: 17 Feb 2013 • Updated: 05 Jun 2014 | 1 comment

Client system details -

OS - AIX 5.x

Web Server - IBM Http Server 7.x

Key database tool - ikeyman

The current certificate which has 1024-bit keys is due to expire after middle of this month.

Verisign document say:
To meet industry standards and security best practices, 2048-bit private keys are required for all SSL and code signing certificates after 1 October, 2013.
Therefore, any certificate whose validity period will extend past 1 October, 2013 must have a 2048-bit key or stronger

Could you please provide guidance for the steps for generating the certificate renewal request which would enable requesting 2048-bit keys from the immediate next certificate renewal onwards.

This appears to be in the wrong forum. This is for Symantec Encryption Management - Key Management (KMS) product. I am moving to the Verisign product forum section.
