  • 1.  Change image store location

    In SMP 7.5 SP1, is there a way to change the location where all the images are stored?  I would like to have them stored on a different server and then have the NS pull that information up and send out to the different task servers as needed.

    I am not sure this could be of any help to you but we are working quite a lot with images and saw in an early state that keeping the images on the NS server would not be dooable. We store all of our images on a centralized storage which we connect via iSCSI to the 'C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\Deployment\Task Handler\image' directory. This also gives us all the features direct from the storage such as better performance, security, compression, deduplication.

    So looking at the KB you provided. My best option is to move the altiris agent from one drive to another?  Will this break the agent currently installed? 

     

    So just move "altiris\altiris agent" folder and all sub folders to the new drive?
