  • 1.  Change install drive/directory

    Hi, I'm installing Symantec/Altiris Client Management Suite 7 but cannot install to the default "C:\Program Files" directory.  I'm not prompted to choose the install directory but the Symantec Installation Manager tells me to change the drive for lack of space.   How do I install to a location other than default?

    You can select an alternate location. It is this location that the Notification Server will install too. See page 25, bullet point 5 - Altiris KB47819

    and re-install SIM.  Isn't really intuitive to believe that the product you use to manage an installation lives in the same directory as the installed product. Maybe just my tunnel vision.  Thanks for your help.
