  • 1.  Change of IP address and Server name of SEPM and DB Server

    Hi,

    i have a SEPM and a DB server configured and working. Version is MR4MP2.

    There are approx 540 client managed by this server.

    i have to move this server now to a new city. This will change the server IP address and name.

    i wanted to know what steps should i take to ensure that all the existing clients are able to connect back to the new server.

    The network connectivity is provided and it works.

    In your Case, 

    You have lot of Clients and I suppose you are carrying SQL Database..

    Replication is not possible as you have the same Computer shifted to another location...

    Try the SylinkReplacer tool....

    1. Replace the syliink using the Sylink replacer tool.

    2. Include the new Server IP & hostname in the Management Server List. as priority 2.

    If you see all the clients on the new server remove the Old server IP & priority. Make the new Server IP as priority 1.

    This will help u.
