  • 1.  Change LDAP server - users cant log in to web interface

I wanted to change the IP address of server that we synch LDAP from.  I removed the old server and recreated it with the new IP (all other settings identical) then ran a full sych on the CC and Scanner.  they both ran successfully.

The next day users could not log in to check their spam quarantine.

Until I when to the administration tab - Users section - selected groups - selected end users tab and enabled end user settings for this group.

why if I changed the AD server to sych to does this setting change?  Should You add the new server, then remove the old?

No, becuase it will not let you use authentication from more than one server.

When you remove a server, it removes the option of using the settings, so this is expected behaviour.
