  • 1.  Change Purge Maintenance Status from 'Retired' to...anything else

This may be me being a little fidgety, but is there anywayto change the computer status when the purge maintenance runs? Currently in our SMP 7.1 environment, we have a 30 day schedule set up to change an 'Active' computer to 'Retired' if it hasn't' touched the network in that time. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to change it from automatically going to 'Retired' to say something like 'Inactive'.

    Any ideas?

As the Purge Maintenance functionlaity only allows you to either Delete or Retire a resource, it cannot be used in your scenario directly.

The "Set Asset Status" CMDB task could be used, but it would mean you manually add the relevant resources to it.

The only way I see this can be done is to create a CMDB rule.
