  • 1.  Change the system date/time of SMP....

    Hi,

    We are implementing a new SMP 7.1 SP1, currently on the testing phase of pushing agents and sub agents. Yesterday notice the system time on the SMP server was December 6Th 2011, so change it to the current date, in this case yesterday´s date (November 29Th 2011).

    Since the change of date all agents, including the one installed on SMP , stopped receiving updates. On the test clients we force the update from the agent but the Changed date has the last date before we change the date on SMP to the correct date.

    On the Agent´s Software Delivery Tab, we select any policy and choose properties. On the properties Windows, on the Downloaded tab the source location is empty for all policies.

    As a test we schedule a task to obtain IP Configuration from the SMP to the clients. The Status of the Task remains in “Waiting for the agent to get the task”

    From SIM we run a Repair to the SMP, but the problem remains.

    I just check the Altiris Log Viewer and all the events have the date December 7Th 2011!!

    I´m at lost here,  any help will be great.

    Do you have W32Time errors in the Windows event log?

    Is this a VM or a physical server?  If VM, ensure server time matches host time, and ensure host time is correct.

    If you have W32Time errors in the Windows event log, resolve these in your environment, then ensure all servers involved in the infrastructure (SQL, SMP, site servers) have the correct time.

    It is a Physical Server with SQL on-box, and no site server yet.

    Since we change the date on the server, the Altiris Log Viewer keeps registering events with the wrong date.
