  • 1.  Changed SEPM name

    I had to change the name of my SEPM after installing the SEPM software.  should i have uninstalled SEPM - changed the name - Install SEPM?

    Do you have any clients for this SEPM?If no uninstall and install.....

    if you are having more clients,Go to Policies--->policy components--->Management server list ,Take a copy of the present management server list ,edit it and remove the Name--keep only IP address.Then assign this new list to the groups.Then you will not loose the clients...

    Note:Above all sugesstions given by assuming that SEPM having a permanent IP address.It is always recommendable to keep a permanent IP address for the SEPM...

    not necessary, you clients will have a file called sylink.xml
    which contains your sepm name and ip address, if u changed the name they try to contact with IP
    once able to connect with ip, they will get the file updated once you repair the sepm from add/remove programs.
    IP too changes?

    The SEPM is getting to Defin. downloads, but the cleints are not receiving the updates. COMMs are good.

    If the IP address has not changed then it should be fine..The Clients should contact the SEPM using IP address.
    Try replacing sylink on 1 client to make sure its not communication issue.
