Data Loss Prevention

I have a client at the moment who has an existing 11.6 DLP environment.  They recently setup an endpoint server and are looking to test out endpoint on a handful of machines.  They also have Altiris which they planned on using to deploy the agents.  After installing the DLP IC into Altiris the only package for DLP it seems to offer is the 12.0 agent.

1.  Is there an easy way to add the current 11.6x agent to the Altiris environment?  How do we go about doing that?

2.  How functional is the agent 12.0 when talking to an 11.6 Endpoint server?  If there isn't a compatibility issues than this could be a moot point.

I am not sure about version 12, but in previous versions the version number of the endpoint server and endpoint agent needed to match to provide full functionality.

I don't know what the official comment is,  but the 12.0 client is working just fine so far in a 11.6.0 environment actually.

I've tested nearly every channel (except lotus since I don't have it) and endpoint discover scanning.  About the only thing I haven't tested is endpoint prevent so far. I'll post back if I find anything that doesn't work.

I think you just  need to put the .msi of new setup to master source location . i,e Notification source pathe where it was previously stored.
