Changing EV Servers?

HI, Im looking to move my current EV server to a more powerfull one. The Vault it self is located on a network share/SAN.
My question(s) is this...

1. Once the new server is built, I'm assuming it would have to have the same name as the old one (which will be taken of line)...but will I need a new license key for it or can i just copy the key?

2.Currently the old server contains the EV directory and site...is there anything that i would have to do on the upgrade machine? or just create a new site with the same name on the new machine?

3. is there anything particular that i should watch out for?

BTW, this is EV 5 sp5 running on win2k3

Thanks for any help

--the license key should work. you could request a temp key from support just incase. ;)

--You would actually want to do a Disaster Recovery, that should get you back up and going on the new server okay.

3. is there anything particular that i should watch out for?--make sure to update your DNS.

Here is the link for the Ops guide for EV5. There is a section on DR.
