Hi,

We are running Altiris NS6 on Win2K3 and are in the process of changing our subnet schema across the organisation. I have found a few helpful articles about how to handle IP address changes for DS but can't find much about what to do with NS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

David Jones.

If your clients are registered to the NS

by name, you really shouldn't have any issues, as long as your DNS records are up to date.

Don't forget your Site/Subnet config

David,
Jim is right on as usual.  Also be sure you update your Site Configuration if you have manually assigned any subnets to sites to ensure that Package Servers continue working as expected (else you can wind up with a lot of WAN traffic if clients come back to the NS's site to get their packages).

Thanks,

Other considerations

If you have a statically assigned IP or it is not pointing towards the correct NS server for whatever reason you may need to update the altiris clients record for the NS server. If you need help with this just ask.
