  • 1.  Changing SEP from a managed to an unmanaged client via SEPM Console

I'm looking for a way to change a SEP client (or a number of them) from the SEPM Console.  From my research I have found that this can be done manually at each workstation by doing a sylinkreplace, but is there a way to do this from the Management Console?

No; it cannot be done from the manager however you can push a new unmanged client install package to those clients

    open sepm

    admin

    servers

    install packages

    click on export

    select export unmanged client

now use push deployment to managed clients; those wil become unmanged now.

    Or

You can use this sylink remote tool to replace the sylink; by this method u need Not have to  log in to each server /machine

    Thanks for the reply Rafeeq!

I know that this is possible if the management is accomplished within a local network, but I'm trying to accomplish this when the management server is in the cloud.  So, am I going to able to push these installation packages via an Internet connect?  I've tried this with no success in our testing environment.  Maybe I'm missing something?

    Thanks again!
