  • 1.  Changing TCP Port 80 to 8080 in ITMS 7.1

    Does anyone have experience from large environment of Altiris (ITMS), of modifying default port 80 to anything else?

    • How did that go? Any technical issues faced, not predictable from manuals or KB articles?
    • How long timedid  it take and how many clients were lost as result of long term absence or machines reimaged?
    • Did you have additional resources for that activity, or did you do it as BAU? Did that visibly affected daily operations?

    Any experience from real life is welcome.

    Hello Jan,

     

    As we have now provided a resolution to the known Silverlight issue, there shouldn't be any problems with having both ports active until the majority of your estate has been redirected to the new port.
