  • 1.  Checking if Ignition Keys have been set

    Hi,

We are running PGP Universal Server 3.0.2, which was installed by someone who left the company and did not create any deployment documentation, although I'm pretty sure that he just installed PGP with the default settings. We don't use the Mail services, just PGP and Netshare.

I would like to shutdown the PGP universal server to do some maintance work, but I'm weary that if I do this then it will ask me for an ignition key password which I probably don't know.

Is there any way to find out if a Software / Hardware Ignition Key has been set on the Universal Server?

    Thanks

This can be checked under Tab: Keys / Ignition Keys If an entry with a Name (of Ignition Key) appears, then it's problably set. If no one is set, you good to go for reboot, if you have the Universal Server Admin login.
