Checksum of the data has failed

I was encountering error e000fe34 and applied this fix: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/286808.htm
but now the separate backup for the utilities partition is coming up with the same error.
Is there another workaround?

You need to disable
You need to disable encryption in the backup job properties. Encryption for utility partition would not work with this version of Backup Exec.
