Cisco VideoAdvantage Tool doesn't work

Hello,

When SEP client firewall is active, Cisco's Unified VideoAdvantage tool for its VoIP device cannot connect to the phone.
First, the tool would crash and make me restart the windows until I had to disable the "Driver Level Protection" to get "NDIS 5.0 Protocol Driver" working, which tool forks and uses.
Now the tool starts up but cannot connect to the Cisco's VoIP Phone even if I Allow all trafic or add exception for the application. As soon as I disable the Network Threat Protection tool connects to the phone and doesn't disconnect when I re-enable the Network Threat Protection afterwards.

It's urgent and I don't know what else I can do about this.

I had the same problem when I installed SEP on my machine.  I finally had to just give up and turn off the network threat protection.  Once I did that, the program started working just fine.  I'm sure that it was just an exception needing to be added, but I could not figure out what it was.

Hi,

Try creating a policy in F/W rule to allow the following ports...

TCP Port 1723

UDP port 1701

Rgrds,
SAM

Altough there is no blocking rule, I also tried that either. Didn't work.
