I have 2 servers, the first has Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.5002.233, and Live Update 3.3.0.92 running on it.  The seond has Live Update 3.3.0.92.  Bothservers are running out of space on c:, and I see from the following post (https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/can-these-folders-be-deleted) that it is possible to delete the files in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads\ folder.  I want to make sure that it is OK to delete them still given my configuration above.  I am not uninstalling either of the produxcts, just want to free up space.  Any other pointers would be appreciated, such as should i keep a few of the latest files, etc.?

    Thank You

    Pete

You can minimize the space occupied:-

The Symantec LiveUpdate Control Panel applet can configure how much space LiveUpdate will be able to use to store content updates.

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Open the Symantec LiveUpdate applet.
    3. Click on the Update Cache tab.
    4. Move the slider for Maximum Cache Size all the way to the left.
    5. Click the button to Remove All Files From Cache.
    6. Click OK.

The button will remove all files currently in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads folder.
The next time that LiveUpdate runs, it will only keep files within the maximum size that is available.

    Plan to move to 12.1

You can delete all of the contents in download folder. But first use treesize.exe tool to see which folder is taking lots of space.
