Clarity on Pass through Recall
Created: 28 Sep 2010 | 5 comments
Hi All
I am busy with an FSA installation in Dubai ( EV8.0 sp3 ) that is going well .I have a question around Pass Through Recall .
I have configured it but notice when a user from their desktop opens a Placeholder and then closes the file the items is restored ...even if they made no changes
I was under the impression that Pass Through Recall caches the file on the File Server and then passes that directly to the client\application without restoring it ?
What am I missing here ?
Thx

The file server properties page lets you set up a passthrough location. Once that's done, you can select the option to enable passthrough recall on the volume properties.
