Classification drop down hung

Hi all,

I'm getting reports from my users that when they are filling out a ticket and hoover over the Classification drop down and it takes a really long time (mins) to drop down. It doesn't happen all the time but randomly.

Has anyone seen this or having any ideas?

The classification hierarchy information is designed to be cached. What the user is more then likely experiencing is an issue with the cache needing to be refreshed and so the classification hierarchy data is being re-generated from the database.

Others who have reported a similiar issue with the classification taking some time to load have seen improvements by enabling the 'Open on Click' setting for the component.  This option can be found on the General tab of the component.

TGiles, Thanks for the info but I'm not seeing the 'Open on Click' or the general tab or the general tab of the Classification component in the advanced form. Skiierj, if you are looking in SD 7.5 project, the Open On Click option is found under the Functionality tab. It was under General tab in 7.1 SP2.

I'm using 7.1 Sp2. Is the Custom Events what you are refering too?

You need the SP2 rollup to access the "Open On Click" property
