    Hi,

I am unable to remove the Old SAV 10.1 client from windows XP machine. I am planning to run the cleanwipe tool. But before doing so, I have a query.

On the machines, two more Symantec products are installed other than SAV clients.

If I will run the cleanwipe tool on this machine. Will it remove the other Symantec Products also or only SAV clients.

    Regards

    KK

Cleanwipe will remove the following Symantec products:

So if your other Symantec products are not listed above than it will not remove them

As posted above the newest version of cleanwipe gives you more flexibility on what will be removed when running the tool. I recommend opening a case with support to request access to download this latest version.

    Hi,

CleanWipe is a tool that you can use to prepare or clean any supported Windows computer before you install Symantec Endpoint Protection. It is a self-extracting executable that unzips its batch files, utility programs, and data files to the Windows\Temp folder by default.

Use CleanWipe with caution. You should use CleanWipe as a last resort after all other means to prepare or clean a computer for Symantec Endpoint Protection installation have failed.
