    Greetings All,

I had a version of SEPM that became corrupt, and I couldn't work with it for a few months. Once I got it all updated and working again, I noticed all of my clients are not reporting to it. I see them listed, but no little green dot and the last time they connected was when it went down.

I tried looking into the heartbeat, and changing that, but they just won't connect to it. How can I get my clients to start checking in again with SEPM?

My version I updated to is: 11.0.6_MP1

    Thanks!

Do this one  one client, that  has  issue:

go to Start-run, and  type  smc -stop and  click OK.

now, on the  sepm server, go to C:/program files/Symantec/Symantec Endpoint  protection manager/Data/Outbox/Agent folder. Double click on any one  of the  alphanumeric folders, and copy the Sylink.xml.

Now, go to C:/program files/Symantec/Symantec Endpoint  protection, and paste  it.

Start  the smc service, by typing smc -start.

Now  see if the  client is listed with a green dot in sepm.

just restart the smc service on the remove client once ; since smc service is automatic in startup; you can kill that using taskkill command, once killded the service wil be recycled and should have a green dot

    taskkill /f /im "smc.exe" /s system name.

Thanks everyone for the answers! I followed Cycletech's link, which was similar to the first answer, and that seemed to work. I wish I would have known about your method Rafeeq, as it seemed a lot easier, but none the less, that did it! Thanks!!
