Client Connection refused Status 57

Hi All,

 

I am facing error 57 for one of my media server when i click on the media server TAB in GUI conole and click on this server the connection failed with error 57, Ping is fine /etc/hosts also fine Checked /etc/services file as well, have also checked the port nnumbers in the BAR--> FIle--> Client Properties--> Netrwork , but still its failing with 57.

 

Master Server :- SUSE Linux

Media Server :- windows server 2008

Netbackup Verision for both Mastet and Media :- NBU 6.5.4

Check Media server's hosts file. Ensure master server is on DNS or in media server's hosts file.

Then check media server's registry entries to ensure that master server is 1st entry in Server list. Spelling must match hosts entry exactly.

Please upgrade your environment - NBU 6.x is no longer supported.

Hello Nayab,

 

Once you have checked the above entries for server list please also flush the NetBackup cache.

"install_path\netbackup\bin\bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache" on master/media and client machines.

NBU hosts cache was introduced in version 7.0.1.
