  • 1.  Client Deployment Wizard Issues After Migration

    I have recently Migrated SEPM to a new server using the replication option. When I went to install SEP onto a client machine using the client deployment wizard. I noticed that there were no computers listed when I get to the Computer selection screen. on the server I migrated from Symantec was able to discover any machine on my network.

    The new server is commincating fine with the clients for updates but not for client deployment.

    Any ideas how I resolve this?

    Does a search of a specific computer or IP return info?

    Yes I can search for a secific machine by IP.

    Hi,

    I'm not sure if we have the same issue which we migrated to a new version of SEPM 12.1 to a new server too. I can deploy the client software but I can't view the client on the console.

    With the help of Tech support, they suggest me to disable the communications between the management server and the clients under Clients > My Company > Security tab from my old server (SEPM 11.0).

    After that, I can communicate to a new SEPM 12.1.

    Thanks for you reply but I cannot log into the old server any more. I keep getting a message saying "Unexpected server error". I also cannot see any Security tab on the new server under Clients > My Company.
