Client goes offline every few minutes

  • 1.  Client goes offline every few minutes

    This is a fresh installation of sepm and sep client on a win 2003 64-bit server....every few  minutes the sep client goes offline on its own. I have to right click and update policy. The green dot shows up after doing this, but again disappears on its own.

    The have deployed the default package from the sepm server and I verified that communication mode is PUSH mode.

    Is this normal, or am I facing an issue?....How can I fix this?

    Post the log here for review.

    Brain, Do i need to do it from registry? Can't I enable it from client UI? I see enable debug option...

    You need to add the location of the sylink file via the registry, can't do that from the client GUI

    are you trying to deploy 11.x version, latest is 12.1.5... ?

    11.x version used to have these kind of issues due to cert validation....

    I have deployed 12.1.4

    I thought the issue got resolved...but again facing same...Heres the sylink.log

    And now it does not want to come online, even after update policy or smc stop/start....

    No, its a fresh deployment of this version. I had sep small business edition 2013 client before this, but I uninstalled it.

    Interesting Issue :) 

    Just delete the client from SEPM console

    start -run

    smc -stop

    smc -start

    any luck after this?
