just upgraded to 12.1.4 from 11.0.7

created a client instakk feature set :

and exported a client install package with the above feture set.

when upgrading a 11.0.7 client with new package

the  client installs OK but has only the " virus and spyware protection" feature but no "proactive threat protection" and  device control features.

does "network threat protection" need to be installed so that "proactive threat protection" and device control should work?

PTP is separate from NTP so you shouldn't need it.

If you check add/remove programs, is ADC installed? You won't see this show up on the client GUI.

so in 12.1.4 GUI i will only see "virus and spyware protection" even if i have installed "poractive threat" for device control ( and can only  check install status through "add/remove") ?

about NTP ,in 11.0.7 we needed to install the NTP for device control to work i understand that this is no longer needed?.

Correct, you wil lonly see virus and spyware protection in the GUI even if device control is installed. If yo uhad SONAR (part of PTP) you would than see it in the GUI as well.

Device control has been split out from NTP in 12.1 so you do not need NTP for device control.

 dont understand why installed features dont show up in the GUI

and i would need to check in add/remove to know whats installed
