  • 1.  Client Install Package Wont Install on Windows 7 64 Bit

    I am running the SEP Manager Console and have exported a 64 Bit version of the client install package, an unmanaged version for a laptop that will not be connected the network for a while.

    I click the install.exe and it runs but then nothing happens..

    There are no errors in the event log.

    You must be running RU5 or higher for Windows 7. 

    This KB may offer a solution.

    If this fails to resolve your issue, can you post the SEP_INST.log?

    From start - run - %temp%\SEP_INST.log, search for Return Value 3 and post the 10 lines above the return value 3.

    1. Are you running SEP 11.x or SEP 12.x

    If you are running SEP 11.x then make sure you are using 11.0.5000.xx or 11.0.6xxx.xx

    If usin SEP 12.x then make sure your version is 12.0.1001.xx

    IF you are using an older version go to https://fileconnect.symantec.com and download the new version.
