  • 1.  Client - Manager communication issue.

    Hello, guys!

     

    I've been passing through some issues with the communication between the SEPM and a client, installed in a file server.

    First, looking at the client's logs, I noticed that it gets some updates from the server and some from the symantec liveupdate website. Is it normal?

    Second, the SEPM keep showing (sending alerts also) this client as out of date (Virus definitions: 5/25/2015), but looking at the client is ok. How can I solve it?

    You need to check the liveupdate policy of this client, 

    go to the group where this client is

    click on liveupdate policy, make sure its getting from SEPM only

    On the liveupdate settings you need to check only SEPM and not internet

    Do you have the policy configured so that it gets its updates from both SEPM and Symantec?

    What is the exact SEPM/SEP version here?
