Is there any client only patch available for upgrading the clients from SEP RU6 MP2 to SEP 12.1 RU1?

Is it possible for migrating the SEPM from SEP RU7 to SEP 12.1 RU1?

Yes, It is possible. 

Migration detects and migrates installations of the following Symantec legacy virus protection software:

• Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 9.x and 10.x.

• Symantec Client Security 2.x and 3.x

• Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.0

• Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x *

• Symantec Sygate Enterprise Protection *

• Symantec AntiVirus for Mac *

* Legacy products marked with asterisk cannot be migrated to Small Business Edition. Also, you may migrate from a Small Business Edition to Enterprise version, but not the reverse.

NOTE: Migration of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11 RU7 to 12.1 RTM is not supported.  Migrations from 11.0 RU7 to 12.1 RU1 are supported. Migration of clients is supported in both versions.

Can you please let me know the size of the delta packages through autoupgrade.

The reason is that we are planning to upgrade the clients through SCCM software distribution( distributing the client upgrade patch to the Branch Distribution Points which is not possible thorugh GUP) to reduce the usage of  network traffic from SEPM.

Delta Packages would be approx 100 - 125MB.

I could not find the client-only patch for upgrading SEP Client from RU6 MP2 to 12.1 RU1 in fileconnect.

@Mithun - The product you have highlighted in Fileconnect is the SEP client executables to install SEP client.

I am reffering to the client only patch of size about 14 to 15 mb , which was used for client upgradation only in earlier version.

Please check the link for client migration from SEP 12.1 RTM to SEP 12.1 RU1. The client only patch is available for this migration but I am quering for the patch from RU6 MP2 to SEP 12.1 RU1.

why don't you set for auto upgrade, the client will be getting delta package.

The delta package is of size about 100.125 mb where as the client only patch will be of size about 15mb. It's better to use the client only patch to reduce the network usage if it's available.

The package with basic protection without definition is of about 135mb. Please let me know whether the client-only patch is available for upgrading from SEP 11 RU6 MP2 to SEP 12.1 RU1 or not.
