On my 2008 R2 Sp1 i have SEPM installed. I came to know that I want to install the client, But why so?
Is SEPM not enough?

SEPM is just an Adminstrative Console that will be used to Manage Client activity and settings and monitor logs and configure Policy. So we need to install a SEP Client on the SEPM Console Server as well.
The SEPM console does not provide any virus protection, for virus protection we need to have the client.
