Still i am not gettng one thing Why i am getting Operating System --WindosVista6 when i go to Cliients ...any idea....

My OS is Windows2008 and in Policy the selectin is Windows2008.....any help would be appreciated....

According to your Status 59 post, your W2008 client is on NBU 6.5 version (unpatched).

W2008 is supported as from 6.5.2 and W2008 R2 as from 6.5.5.

PLEASE upgrade NBU in your environment ASAP to 7.x. NBU 6.x reached EOSL on 3 October.

We will do the upgrade later on client but i would like to know Why i am getting Operating System --WindosVista6 when i go to Cliients ...any idea...

Operating System for Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain Controllers is dectected as Windows Vista when configuring a policy

Workaround:

The OS type can manually be changed within the policy after the client has been added.

Symantec has acknowledged that the above mentioned issue (Etrack 2627967) is present in the version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this document.  Symantec is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This issue is currently scheduled to be addressed in the following release
