Client version is not properly showing in master server
Hi, After installing 7.0.1 patch into client it is still showing 7.0.0 in master server. What can be reason?
I checked client version from client itself from veritas/patch/hisotry
but command: install path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bpgetconfig -g <client_name> -L
is showing still 7.0.0:
E:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\admincmd>bpgetconfig.exe -g grssps1 -L
Client/Master = Client of grsnetbup1
NetBackup Client Platform = PC-x64, WindowsXP
NetBackup Client Protocol Level = 7.0.0
Product = NetBackup
Version Name = 7.0
Version Number = 700000
NetBackup Installation Path = C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin
Client OS/Release = Windows2008 6
Please help. Should i delete and add client back. if yes how to do it from GUI or command line?

Where and for which client are you seeing version 7.0?
Is the client the master itself? or another host?
On that host, check the version.txt file in the NetBackup directory.
Windows: C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\version.txt
This file should contain the actual version of the client that is installed.

Can you confirm that you have patched your Master to 7.0.1 first?
If you go to Client Host Properties in the Admin Console and open then close the client there what version does it display in the GUI after connection?
