I am currentl trying to set up a baseline shop that runs off of lan boot for my clients. I am using symantec ghost 11.0.1. I have com to a wall with the lan boot setup. I am able to boot ghost on the client PC but right before it works the screen freezes and a black bar runs across the top of the screen with white random letters and symbols in it. The ghostcast server is still waiting for the client to connect. could it be that the ghost cast is not detecting the ip that my Dhcp sever is giving it and if it is how do I fix the issue. This is a time sensetive thing and any help would be wonderful. Thankyou.

No letters with black screen

No letters with black screen usually means that something very bad happened such that ghost didnt even have a chance to report it. Sometimes this happens under DOS when BIOS manufactures forget to care about backwards memory access compatibility (or just ignore) and thus DOS-based apps cannot run. Your only choice would be to run it under Winpe. You can build one yourself and include ghost32.exe in it or you can check whether you are eligilble for an upgrade and try GSS 2.5 that comes with PCDOS, Winpe and Linux as preOS. You can also try it for free www.ghost.com.
