Which firewall, windows or SEP? You need to open tcp 8014 for communication to the SEPM.
Or are you trying to push the SEP client from the SEPM? If so, see this:

Try to disable UAC (User Access Control) if you can't deploy the SEP client Package successfully.

You need to disable windows defender in windows 8 to deploy SEP.
What the error message display while sending the package?
What is the current version you are trying to deploy?
Disable firewall and window defender.
disable firewall and lower the security in UAC
