hi there
what must i do that clients will join a domain after a restore?
isn't that enough when i configure a client and tell him that he should be in a domain, instead in a workgroup?
i mean this setting:

Is there errors/warnings when you run task?
Does your ghost console service account have enough user rights in domain?
no warnings.. what is the step called when he should join the domain? did i configure it at the right place?
yes, for testing because it didnt work, i gave him enterprise rights :)
if i joint to the domain when the client is restored manually... it works
Is the step configuration chosen in task?
explain please where i should do this
When you create task for deploying image. For image you must choose clone and for computername and domain things you must choose configuration.
i get this error messages
i get this error messages when i have a task that the clients should join a domain. i also want to mention, that we have a windows 2008 domain controller.
translation:der domäne konnte nicht beigetreten werden = couldn't join the domain
I was able to get around the problem you are describing with Server 2008 by changing the default domain controller policy to allow cryptography algorithms compatible with Windows NT 4.0. I believe the policy is located here:
Default Domain Controller Policy-->Computer Configuration-->Policies-->Administrative Templates-->System-->Net Logon
If i think security this is not wise move. I am scared what our organizations domain admin will say when we upgrade to w2k8 domain and i ask to change this policy.
Any developer who wants say something about this problem?
Windows Server 2008 RODC compatibility pack
I installed this patch from Microsoft and i can join Windows XP SP3 computers to W2k8 domain controller.
Install this patch http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944043/en-us on Windows XP only, not on Domain Controller.
