Clients dropped from console

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I did have 1400 machines in the Deployment Solution console/database. This has recently dropped to 350 and I am not sure where these clients have gone?

Is there some default period of time that clients remain live? Do clients have to check in with the server at a set period?

I am now resetting the clients using a start-up script, but don't really want to have to do this all the time to ensure they remain in the console/database.

I believe I may have found the answer to this. It helps if you un-tick the option to delete inactive machines from the database after 30 days!

Found this in Tools > Options > Global

Will continue to monitor the situation and let people know if this was the fix or not.

To keep them active, you can set the Production agent to "Refresh connection after idel for x hours (or days)".

I'll add that setting in as a belt and braces measure and keep an eye on things

Many thanks for the response
