Clients showing multiple times in SEPM

Hi All,

Just upgrading SEP from 11.0.4202.75 to 11.0.5002.333 and seem to have a bit of an issue. The SEP upgrade goes through ok, and only the one instance is shown in Add/Remove programs which has the correct version number. The issue I'm having is that after the upgrade each upgraded client is showing twice in the SEPM console. Once for each version.

For management reasons I'm not actually using the SEP Manager to distribute the upgrades to the workstations, which instead is done by ManageSoft. Clients have been deployed using this exact method before without any issue, and I am testing an upgrade using SEP manager as we speak. Any idea why using a 3rd party deployment tool might cause the client to show up twice in the Management console like this?

Duplicate Entries of Clients in SEPM

In such cases we can do the following :-

Configure SEPM to remove clients which have not connected within a specific number of days.

Open SEPM and select the Admin panel.
Click on Servers
Right click on the Site where your management servers are located and choose Edit Properties
Check "Delete Clients that have not connected for __ Days"
Enter a value for Days.
Click OK.

Configurating a low value for this setting would clear up the duplicates more quickly

Thanks & Regards Sandip C Sali
