  • 1.  Clients will be removed after certain days?

I had  some managed clients didn't logon to network to get new defination update for a few days.

    1) I wonder how long the clients will be automatically removed from the console?

    2) When I run COmputer status Log report (Monitors-- Logs ), I can see some old  clients who has not logged in shown in the report and some not. WHat is the pattern for it?

    1) 30 days.  This is under Admin > Servers > Local Site > Edit Site Properties > General tab.  "Delete clients that have not connected for" and 30 days is the default.

    2) Think it will depend on the report you're running (how far back it's going) and the last time the client checked in.

I just ran the logs and export to .txt file then converted into excel.

Some clients offline for 2--3 days and shown the defination is older version but some even didn't shown in the log.

Another question: Under the same log report: worst detection column show (seveirty 0) Viral and it shown "Never" under  last virus time

Some clients offline for 2--3 days and shown the defination is older version but some even didn't shown in the log.

The clients that are showing offline can only display what it was they had when they last reported in.  Are you saying some clients have never reported in? You'll need to determine why, if that's the case, on the individual machine.

In the segment you copied, 'Last virus time' shows 8/7/2009 13:41.  Where do you see 'Never'?
