This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi Team,

Could SEPM be installed to clustered servers?
This might have issues?
Since we have them all in production, it maybe hard for us to "wait and see what happens next" proceedure.
We are using different window server platforms. Mostly for exchange clustered servers...
using MR4 MP1A...

Hope you could help us..

Thanks.

SEPM could be installed to

SEPM could be installed to clustered servers, albeit with a rider.

You'll have to install the SEPM in a Load Balancer configuration on each node and point it to the existing database. The DB has to be SQL Server as Load Balancing is not supported on the Embedded DB.

This way, in case one node goes down, the other one is still alive with the other SEPM running.

On my idea I think it is not

On my idea I think it is not possible to install SEPM on the clustered server, because when the primary server is down it will switch over to clustered server and it has a different IP, in that case you will be having a problem in SEP communication issue.

Thats only my idea. :-)

It should

Its not that NTP and Application and device control does not work on servers but due clustered environment it can cause issues. So its not recommended.

I see Vikram... Will it cause

I see Vikram...
Will it cause latency that starts the issues?
By the way, how come if the Primary server in a clustered environment gets installed with SEPM, they tend to shift from active to passive?
thanks...
