It won't affect "entitlement" to support, whatever you have paid for you will still be entitled to.

In terms of a back-line acknowledgement of the SP2 from July this year I haven't found anything to suggest it isn't what I think you mean "a supported configuration". Company policies and environment may over ride this consideration. I've done some searches and can't find anything conclusive though.
