Client Management Suite

Ok so just performed an upgrade of CMS 7.1 Sp2 MP 1.1 HF4 to 7.5 SP1 HF5. Most went well but a few hickups.

We have 3 environments...

DEV - Build/test/upgrae/break

TEST - Follow Change Control as if was PROD - Mimicks PROD

PROD - Final stage of upgrade where all issues prior are worked out and 4k client machines upgraded and we continue on supporting our environment.

so I just upgraded TEST and this current issue I am not 100% sure if we will get in PROD but need to figure out how to fix here just in case.  Or at least what is going on.

MOST prior policies now have thier "Applied To" targets grayed out. Not sure why and nothing works so seems like they are orphaned after the upgrade and if I go in and re-add life continues...

I add filter, delete other and all works fine...

Now the sample here is with 7 filter which is an internal filter but also others like 

Now this also is happening on other things too with internal filters like

any thoughts???????????

1. Is there any useful information in Altiris Log Viewer, while you're opening this policy with gray out "Resource Target" in Policy?
2. You're logged in, using "AppIdentity" account or another account from "Symantec Administrators" role or other role?

You can try to use SQL query to see what Attributes are set for Resource Targets, which are gray out and which aren't and compare between TEST and PROD.

I searched high and low.. didnt see that one. will check it out. Thx..

1. nothing happens when I go to the policy. nothing in the logs... 

2. logged in as myself.. and also app id...

woah just checked..thx!!! App id login on server and it is all good. so going to be something with our accts... ughhh.. 

ok so I have a ticket in with Symantec. Even though the App Id account shows the Applied To as non greyed out... there are still no targets. So Tech is looking into why our targets are not getting updated.
