  • 1.  CMS licenses end date

    Our support fro CMS expires on July this year. What happens whan we hit that day - does everything stop working ?

    To sum things up: New patches will not be downloaded via PMimport. Other functions will continue working properly but you will not be able to upgrade.

    Check the below article which explains common licensing questions including what happens when licenses expire.  It sounds like most solutions keep working.  Updates to CMS will no longer be possible.  Patch Managment won't be able to download new versions of PMImport.

    Every mention of licence expiration includes this (only applicable to Trial or otherwise temporary licenses)!

    DS 7.x  "License expiration--DS tasks will no longer run on any systems."

    I take this to mean that ghost will not deploy images! Is that correct.!

    Take a look at: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO4832

    This will help you understand what AUP means. If your licenses were bought, then they will be AUP expired.

    You can check your licenses in your install dir, mostly :\Program Files\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Licenses. There you will find your txt license files. Inside of them, you will find something like this:
