We are testing CMS7 in our lab environment and have encountered problems with WOL.
We are able to reboot and shut the pc down however we cannot "wake" it up.
The settings in the BIOS are correct and we can wake it up from the DS but not from the NS.
Any suggestions?

You need to enable power

You need to enable power management settings under Altiris Agent properties.
Also, check if you can wake up the machine using any third party tool. i hope you have enaled WOL settings from BIOS.
let me know if you still face any sort of problem.,

Tickle/Power Management

Tickle/Power Management option enabled on Altiris Agent yet the Wake-on-LAN from NS still does not function.  WOL settings enabled in BIOS.  Works from the DS which uses port 402 but not from the NS.
Symantec stated that there was a patch being released I believe last week that might correct this however I have yet to find the SP.

Also keep in mind that you have to make some changes on the

network side of the house. This type of communication is multicast\broadcast and most networks don't allow this.

Two methods my co-workers have passed on is to allow broadcast traffic to the entire network (which you can secure to only the Altiris server), or Directed IP broadcast.
