Collecting iSeries Security Journal data using SIM

Hi,

 

I am currently running a project to implement SIM 4.6 and I have been asked by my iSeries guys to provide more information on how the collectors interface with iSeries to collect events.  I'll explore other sources but if anyone has any pointers to white papers or other documents that give further information I'd be really grateful.

Have you read the documentation for the System i Audit collector?  We just released an update for this collector which sigificantly enhances how the iSeries Audit Journal data is mapped to SSIM fields.

Or do you have a  more specific question?

Thanks for the response - I obviously forgot to tick the "e-mail me when someone replies" tick box!

 

I have a copy of the "Symantec™ Event Collector 4.3 for IBM® System i Audit Quick Reference" document assuming that is the latest.  Is there any other documentation you are aware of?
